I cannot recommend Karen highly enough! Having all three of my kids in middle school made me realize how quickly they were growing up.  I wanted professional photos that captured this time in their lives.  I loved the personalities that shown through in photographs that Karen did for friends, so I was certain she would take lovely photos that our family would treasure throughout our lives.

And, Karen exceeded my already high expectations. I love the photographs she took.  She did a beautiful job capturing genuine moments, not fake smiles. She met with us beforehand to understand how she could make the photo session a comfortable and fun experience for all. She advised on clothing to bring out individual personalities without being distracting. She also scoped out the location to make sure we scheduled a time to get the best lighting.

What I didn't expect was that the session itself would be such a wonderful experience and memory for all of us. I included our dog and my in-laws in the session.  It was a lot of people to photograph in different combinations but it was such a joyful and affirming event, I quickly scheduled an additional session with my parents.  This second session created another cherished memory for all of us.

The happy memories of the sessions made the photographs even more meaningful to all of us. And to top it all off -- I had beautiful material for Christmas cards and presents. Karen created photo albums for us and the grandparents, large canvas prints for our home, and matted photos of the kids individually, with each other, with the family, with their grandparents, and with our sweet dog.

My mother-in-law summed it up for all of us when she saw her album: "the best gift anyone could ever give me!"  I agree.  Karen truly captured what I love. I plan to give myself and my family the gift of this experience again in the years that are quickly coming.
